Bradshaw Rock Art images by Dean Goodgame 5
Complex Style Phase of Bradshaw figures. Dean has been photographing the Kimberley for the past two and a half decades. For the past 21 years he has worked closely with archaeologist Lee Scott-Virtue and Ju Ju Burriwee Wilson, photographing rock shelters and the rock art images. Sadly, while Ju Ju is no longer with us, her commitment and dedication to recording rock art sites across the Kimberley lives through these images. She has also co-authored several papers and other publications with Lee and Dean. Ju Ju was very concerned about the escalating damage to the rock art through the widespread aerial incendiary burning. The sale of these photographs raises funds for continuing rock art research and to ensure that future generations of Aboriginal people and researchers appreciate the magnificent heritage left by ancient people over tens of thousands of years.
